Saint Casimir of Poland – Icon Print, Youth Patron Gift

SAINT CASIMIR OF POLAND ICON PRINT

A reverent sacred artwork of Saint Casimir of Poland, shown with a cross and white lilies, symbols of purity, prayer, and royal holiness. Born in Kraków in the Kingdom of Poland, in present-day Poland, in 1458, Casimir was a prince of the Jagiellonian dynasty and the son of King Casimir IV. Though raised in a royal court, he became known for humility, chastity, devotion to the Eucharist, and deep care for the poor. He chose a life of virtue and prayer over worldly ambition and died young in Grodno, in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, in present-day Belarus, in 1484. Saint Casimir is especially honored as a patron of Poland, Lithuania, and youth, and is remembered for purity, mercy, and steadfast love of Christ.
